Meet the Geese!

Henry
Rescued 2013
Henry, our one-eyed goose, was found abandoned at a pond outside an office complex in Hillsboro. The people who worked in the building had grown fond of him and, concerned for his safety, reached out to Wildwood to give him the secure home he deserved. He's always keeping an eye on the sanctuary, looking out for his human and feathered friends alike. Henry has a particular fondness for our roosters and is especially protective of the lady ducks. Every morning, he enthusiastically greets volunteers with a chorus of excited honks, making sure everyone knows he's ready for another day on patrol.

Frank
Rescued 2015
Before arriving at Wildwood, in his first year of life, Frank was passed between four different homes and witnessed a devastating predator attack on his goose companions. We promised Frank that Wildwood would be his last home and a place where he would always be safe, loved, and never have to move again. Today, Frank lives happily with Henry and our flock of ducks, where he has naturally stepped into the role of flock leader. Calm, confident, and watchful, he keeps a close eye on everyone, especially our Pekin duck, Shelby, whom he is particularly protective of.
