On June 23, 2023, a semi truck carrying thousands of chickens overturned on I-5. Dozens, if not hundreds of birds were killed and maimed. A few lucky ones were thrown from the wreckage and survived. One such hen found her way to Wildwood. Lark was treated for minor injuries and has now joined our flock of pampered poultry. We only wish we could have saved them all.
