Meet the Goats!

Stardust arrived at Wildwood in 2016 after being rescued from a large animal neglect case in Aumsville, Oregon. When she came to us, we had no idea she was expecting, but not long after, she welcomed her daughter Pearl into the world. The two were nearly identical and inseparable, often found exploring the sanctuary side by side. While Pearl has sadly passed, Stardust continues to be a cherished member of the Wildwood family. These days, she enjoys a slower pace of life, taking her time with her morning meals and quietly sneaking up to volunteers when she knows treats are nearby. Sweet, gentle, and full of personality, Stardust reminds us that every animal deserves the chance to feel safe, loved, and cared for.

Willow came to Wildwood after being rescued from the former Grand Barr Dairy in Oregon following a PETA investigation that uncovered severe neglect, abuse, and starvation of the animals living there. When Willow first arrived, she was shy and unsure of her new surroundings, but sanctuary life has helped her gain confidence and trust. Not long after coming to Wildwood, we discovered she was pregnant, and in March 2026 she gave birth to three healthy baby girls. Today, Willow enjoys the safe, loving life she always deserved as a devoted mother, and she and her daughters will never again face neglect, exploitation, or separation.

Luna’s journey to Wildwood was quite the adventure—after evading nearly 20 volunteers for many hours, she finally made her way to the sanctuary and reunited with her goat friends, who had arrived five weeks earlier from a sanctuary in Estacada that needed placement for their animals.

Luna is our shyest goat, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t have a big personality. She always finds ways to let you know exactly what she’s thinking, and if you’re lucky, she may even accept a treat right from your hand. Her “twin” sister Selene, is often more outgoing, while Luna prefers to do her own thing and can usually be found embracing her independent, lone-wolf spirit. Though she keeps her cuddly side more reserved, Luna has plenty of charm.

Onyx came to Wildwood from a sanctuary in Estacada after her beloved caretaker passed away. While losing her home was a big change, she has settled in beautifully and become a cherished member of our goat family. As the smallest adult goat in the herd, Onyx proves that personality has nothing to do with size! She is confident, curious, and always ready to make new friends. You'll often find her snuggled up with her buddies, Meggie and Zander, enjoying a quiet moment together or following them around the pasture. Onyx is one of the sweetest goats you'll ever meet. She loves attention from her caregivers and visitors, especially if it includes a good brushing.

Ginger came to Wildwood after being rescued from a large animal neglect case in Aumsville, Oregon. Unknown to us at the time, she was pregnant and soon gave birth to her daughter, Rose. Since then, the two have been inseparable, spending nearly every moment together as they explore the sanctuary side by side. As one of the "top dogs" of the herd, Ginger is often found alongside Orin and Rose, confidently making her way around the pasture. She has plenty of personality, including her signature silly look with her tongue sticking out and her very particular opinions about treats—she definitely knows what she likes! Strong, loving, and full of character, Ginger has become one of the cherished leaders of the Wildwood herd.

Zander came to Wildwood from a sanctuary in Estacada after his caretaker passed away and he needed a new place to call home. One of our “littles,” Zander may be smaller in size but he stands out with his beautiful tri-color, calico coat and his sweet personality. He also has the cutest underbite, giving him an unforgettable smile that perfectly matches his gentle nature. Curious and affectionate, Zander loves a good brushing, plenty of scritches, and is usually one of the first to arrive when treats are being offered. He is a beloved member of his herd, especially by his buddy Onyx, and brings a calm, loving presence wherever he goes.

Grace, Hope, and Blossom are Willow’s beautiful triplet daughters, born on a sunny Sunday afternoon in the middle of a volunteer work party at Wildwood. In a quick and uncomplicated birth, Grace was the first to arrive, followed by Hope, and then little Blossom. These three sisters entered the world surrounded by care, love, and a community ready to protect them.

Because of the safe life they have at Wildwood, they will never know the fear and hardship their mom Willow experienced. Grace, Hope, and Blossom will grow up together, cherished for who they are, and will never be separated, exploited, or used as female goats so often are in the agricultural industry. Their story is one of hope, healing, and a future filled with love.

Rose was born at Wildwood shortly after her mom, Ginger, arrived from a large animal neglect case in Aumsville, Oregon, in 2016. From the very beginning, Rose has grown up surrounded by safety, love, and the care she deserves. She loves snuggles, soft treats like bananas, and she’s always happy to let you know exactly what she thinks. You can often find her happily chewing her cud while tapping her horn on the gates, making sure everyone knows she’s nearby. Confident, affectionate, and full of opinions, Rose is one of the “top dogs” of the herd and a true Wildwood personality.

Juniper came to Wildwood after being rescued from the former Grand Barr Dairy in Oregon following a PETA investigation that uncovered severe neglect, abuse, and starvation of the animals living there. Despite everything she endured, Juniper has embraced sanctuary life and now enjoys the safety, comfort, and care she always deserved. She is slowly becoming good friends with Meggie and the sheep herd, who accept her slower pace. Watching her heal and settle into sanctuary has been a powerful reminder of the resilience of animals when they are finally given the chance to simply be loved.

Selene came to Wildwood from a sanctuary in Estacada after her caretaker passed away in 2021. She arrived with her shy “twin” sister, Luna, but Selene has truly blossomed into her own over the years. While Luna may be the more reserved one, Selene is often found getting into mischief and exploring the sanctuary with her friends Ginger, Orin, Meggie, Zander, and Onyx. Curious, sweet, and full of personality, she has learned to trust and happily takes treats right from volunteers’ hands. Selene loves attention, but she’s happiest when she’s off adventuring in the pastures with her herd mates, enjoying life on her own terms.

Sir Orin, King of the Herd, was one of the first goats welcomed to Wildwood. Rescued from a neglect situation, Orin arrived with his brother Billy, mother Nancy, and aunt Sheba after spending time with a kind and loving family who helped them along their journey. From the beginning, Orin has shown what a special goat he is. With a heart of gold and a gentle spirit, Orin is a beloved member of the herd, though his manners may disappear the moment treats are involved! You can almost always find his head popping up over the barn stall, ready to greet volunteers, supervise the day’s activities, and (of course) sniff out any possible snacks. He is always the first one in line for treats and has no problem making sure he gets his share. Confident, sweet, and full of personality, Sir Orin proudly lives up to his royal title as the king of the herd.

Meggie came to Wildwood from a sanctuary in Estacada after her caretaker passed away and she needed a new place to call home. Since arriving, she has quickly become known for her sweet, easygoing personality and her love of spending time with people.

While she is part of the herd, Meggie is not afraid to wander off and enjoy some one-on-one time with volunteers. She loves being brushed, is always happy to accept a treat, and gives some of the best kisses around. Gentle, affectionate, and full of charm, Meggie is a wonderful reminder of how special the bond between animals and people can be.

Forest came to Wildwood from Wildlings Forest Sanctuary after changes needed to be made within their herd. She earned her name after getting lost in the woods and proving nearly impossible to catch, living up to her reputation as a true wild child.

These days, Forest is still a bit shy around people and prefers spending her time roaming the pastures and grazing alongside the sheep. Every now and then, she'll quietly wander over for a treat before heading back to her adventures. Elusive but incredibly sweet, Forest enjoys life at her own pace and reminds us that trust can bloom in its own time.
