Meet the Sheep!

Erma was born on March 28th, 2024, and her life began with a difficult start. Rejected by her mother, she was left alone in a field by the farmer and would not have survived without help. Thankfully, she was discovered by her rescuer while they were out on an Easter Sunday hike, giving her the second chance she deserved. Erma needed around-the-clock bottle-feeding and spent her first few weeks in several volunteer homes. Along the way, she was welcomed into families, spoiled with love, played with the family dogs, and got into plenty of adorable mischief. Once she and her sister Opal were big and strong enough, the two began their next chapter as forever residents of Wildwood. These days, Erma is full of personality and a whole lot of energy. She’s a rambunctious young lady who loves to play and can often be found trying to convince the goats to join her in a game of tag.

Dash was born here at Wildwood on July 1st, 2016, to Daisy, one of the rescues from a large animal neglect case in Aumsville, OR. He is a bit shy but will take treats from people he knows and trusts. He will often cock his head to one side when he sees bananas coming his way. He loves spending time with his mom, Daisy, and best friend, Brownie the alpaca.

Opal was born in March 2024 and came to Wildwood after being rejected by her mother. As a young lamb, she required bottle feedings and extra care to thrive, but instead of being given the support she needed, she was seen as a burden. With the help of dedicated volunteers, Opal received the love and attention she needed during her first weeks of life. She was raised alongside her sister Erma and spent time in several volunteer homes, where she was cared for, spoiled, and given the chance to grow strong. Once she was ready, Opal began her next chapter as a permanent member of the Wildwood family. Today, Opal is a happy and confident sheep who loves life in the pasture. She stays close to her sanctuary sheep family, spending her days grazing, napping in the sunshine, and enjoying playful moments with her friends.

A pregnant Daisy arrived at Wildwood from a large animal neglect case in Aumsville, OR. She is the shyest of all the sheep, but warms up a bit to the regular volunteers who know her routine. She loves spending her time with her son, Dash, still being a watchful and protective mom after all these years.
