Meet the Turkeys!

Olive-1p.jpg

Olive

Rescued 2018

Olive was surrendered by a slaughterhouse in Utah and transported back to Oregon alongside five friends by animal rights activists. She enjoys her time in the sun, having a nice dirt bath, helping volunteers clean dishes, and eating lettuce treats. She's become best friends with newcomer Sunny, getting up to all kinds of mischief together.

Cash

Rescued 2015

Beautiful Cash was surrendered by her owner. She is very timid around humans, but we continue to build her trust with her favorite treats like lettuce, grapes, and fresh corn on the cob. Cash enjoys being the head of the Hen House, keeping the hens in line. Who needs a rooster when you have a Cash?

Clover

Rescued 2021

Clover was surrendered by his owner. He grew up eating watermelon and watching movies with his caretaker before coming to Wildwood. He is very curious with new people and loves when you get down to eye level. In late 2025 he faced mobility issues that left him unable to walk, but thanks to a wheelchair donation and intensive care given by the Pearson family, Clover has made a remarkable recovery and is back on his feet!

Rooster

Rescued 2026

Rooster is a very lucky little turkey who was labeled “unfit to sell” after being born with splayed legs. Like so many young birds who don’t meet the poultry industry’s standards, he faced an uncertain future simply because his body didn’t fit the expectations placed on him. Thankfully, he and his sister, Doralee, got the second chance they deserved and eventually found their forever home at Wildwood. Rooster loves to explore and is very protective of his sister. They love to cuddle together under the warmth of the sun and share every meal.

Sunny

Rescued 2025

Rescued by Heartwood Haven from a hoarding case in Thurston County, WA, Sunny was found living amongst deceased animals and in neglected conditions. Despite the horrors of his past, Sunny is extremely curious and personable. He loves to strut his stuff around the barn, race volunteers up and down the driveway, and spending time with his best friend Olive.

Doralee

Rescued 2026

Doralee is a very lucky little turkey who was labeled “unfit to sell” after being born with splayed legs. Like so many young birds who don’t meet the poultry industry’s standards, she faced an uncertain future simply because her body didn’t fit the expectations placed on her. Thankfully, she and her brother, Rooster, got the second chance they deserved and eventually found their forever home at Wildwood. You can usually find Doralee following her brother around, never too far behind. She loves cuddles in the warm laps of human friends and being reminded of how beautiful she is. Naptime is her favorite because that means she gets to cuddle up next to big brother, Rooster.
